We also have the ARV's in regularly, for food & for the armed officers to remain familiar with out building layout.

The last V70 T5 I know of that is still registered to Hants was being used as a dog car, the handler in question lives near to me and his wife grooms our dogs. He now has a Skoda, the T5 isn't in use operationally currently it is however still fully liveried.
Sorry my bad!
Apparently (according to workmate) they had a T5 out Tuesday for Mway training on the M27.

No, it's an ARV - the black asterisk on the roof gives it away. General patrol cars have an orange circular spot and traffic cars have a black circular spot.

Edit - some forces' General patrol cars don't have any spot on the roof, but most do have the orange spot.

I saw the asteisk, but Hants normally use the yellow dots on the top corners of their windscreens and the side windows, don't know why this one doesn't have them. All the ARV's BMW 5 series estates (530D I think) and the batch of 2011 plate XC70's all have them on.

That 4041 car in the pic has previously been traffic, ARV, training & dog car, perhaps it's back as a training vehicle now?

I would be extremely surprised if the ARV roof markings remained on a vehicle after it had been transferred to another department. I think you may be mistaken.

Fife go back to about 1975 and are certainly one of the longest continuous users of BMW Patrol cars in Britain.

The 4041 car I referred to is the T5 I linked to, not the XC70 (that's 4450).

My godson is a police patrol car driver and, interestingly, he says that he and all his mates would rather be in their Skodas than the BMs...(good enough for me! )

Didn't press him on Volvos...!!

I have just been to one of the hants police workshop and hiding around the back are a lot of unregistered white skoda estates i suspect they are next years batch of new area cars or dog cars.
