So after the cat been sat for a few weeks I went to move it started no problem but left a stain on the drive. Rotten fuel filter 😞

Easy change which I was surprised about hopefully might explain where att the fuel was going 😄.

Hopefully this week or next it will be MOT test and need to get the heater matrix changed for winter it's just bypassed the now due to summer.

If anyone has any advice 9n a jammed sunroof it would be greatly appreciated, the motor works fine.

Soo... been a While...

Got a MOT done a few weeks ago (full pass no advisories) just been enjoying the car before winter really sets in.

Got a donor v70 for the spares in needed as it was a cheaper option and bonus it was the same color tho a newer year some things are different like the door cards and that.

It has the 2.4 which i was thinking of rebuilding but after finding a inspection hole on the block that isn't happening now.

having a weird low idle on cold start and i mean like 600rpm or lower and once its warm it goes upto 1100rpm ish. Cant really find anything out about it.

Had a stuck thermostat which cause a few issues like never getting upto temperature at all apart from been in towns.

Cruise doesn't work but ill look into that soon i have a diag led for that side of it.

Modded a Bluetooth module into the SC-805 as i was fed up of the flaky ****ty audio from those daft Bluetooth radio transceivers.

HTH - keep up the good work
well the alarm seems to be working fine and does its job when the wife goes out and opens it with the key

Default Engine coolant sensor…

Changed mine just recently also 1998 S70 10v. It was about £20, from Euro Car Parts there are 2 with different size threads 10mm and 12mm mine turned out to be 10mm.

Buy both just in case and take one back when done. As someone said it’s located just under the thermostat.

You may as well change the thermostat while you’re there. Screws are 2 off M7 thread; can’t remember think they are Torx 25 head.

Buy an OEM stat, I once put a Borg and Beck stat in and it seeped could not seal the housing. On removal the top was crushed it was 2mm too tall.

When you install the stat make sure the jiggle pin is pointing to the housing screw hole nearest the bulkhead and don’t go mad tightening the bolts as the housing is Ali it’s easy to strip the threads.

Some people replace the 2 Torx screws with water pump screws that have hex heads as Torx heads strip very easily.
