ah...... but is it a volvo Green ? !!

Good thing about the Pioneer units was they offered 3 shades of just about every colour cars used. I have a niggle thing about a head unit etc not having matching lights "Exactly " !

can live without the steering wheel control. But would be handy

What about the old phone keypad? Thats got to be turned into something !

Nice article there!

I want to replace the head unit in my S60 2004, but was worried as had heard that you need to have some driver software removed from the car first otherwise strange things can happen?

Was this the case with you, or did the aftermarket head unit just go in no problems?

Thanks

How does the sound quality compare? My head unit is not broken but this could be a useful way of providing Bluetooth and iPod connectivity at a comparable price to buying all the extra bits.

No problems whatsoever. Straight in and fired right up.

Sound quality is very very good HOWEVER i was more than satisfied with the Volvo HU850 and parrot CK3100 set up that i had and just wish it had not broken.

That said, my swap provided a much cheaper fix and gave me MP3, USB, and integrated Bluetooth so all in all the best option.

Cheers Darryl

Great job, looks nearly factory-fitted!

Sorry to ask again about the steering wheel controls (I use them quite a lot), but is it possible to make them work? And what about the car's phone? Is just a fancy bit of decoration now?

What connecting cables did you use from car to stereo. Link if possible. Thanks
