The car hasnt cost me alot to run, I am 26 and its only £550 a year to insure. It really would be a waste to brake it, the car is in good condition. I bought it last year in coventry and drove it home.

The reason it needs to go is due to having 3 cars, a rally car and now a new subaru coming on thursday of next week.

I bought it as the job I had at the time didnt come with a company car so it was very good for the motorway etc, but now I have a company car and its all expensed lol

Out of curiosity, did these ever come with a manual box? If not, is it possible to fit a manual box?
It was also the first straight six with the gearbox mounted to the side of the engine. you can fit a manual box to them from the 2.9 but the hassle is a bit of an offput, due to the ecu's running box and engine.

The box in this one is excellent, no issues of any kind. It was the third car I looked at (t6) and was definetly the best one out the three.

He speaks the truth...the M65 from an NA 6-pot does fit (and is supposedly the smallest (narrowest?) FWD gearbox there is), but there is potentially a question mark over its strength, and what the rest of the computers think when you take away the slusher.

Andrew - I actually already have a T6 engine from a car I broke last summer. It's for sale...most likely for fitment to a 960, but transverse mid-mounting in a 300 or perhaps 480 is an interesting idea

This would be a daily driver, though. It's tempting, because it's such a good price. I think the distance is the deciding factor for me, though. If I were nearer...! If you're planning a trip daaarn saaaf (well..further south, anyway!) in it, and can wait long enough for the funds to turn up...let me know!

cheers

James

A very tempting offer. Do you have any pictures of the car?
