  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

in my old car id just done a long stint on the motorway, then stop, go foot heavy at the traffic lights drive 5 miles and dead.

as i ran out of petrol round the corner from home i thought.. screw it ill push it home.. got it about 100 meters, then a bloke in an RAC van stopped and took me to the petrol station for free nice man!

That is how you tell how much fuel is in the tank of course .
The miles to go is influenced by the recent average fuel consumption so can rapidly vary depending on whether you are driving economicaly or not , going hard up a steep hill will see the figure plumet . The less fuel in the tank the more this figure will vary .
Always use the fuel gauge ,you know it makes sense , it is a very accurate instrument especialy when in the red .

out of interest - how many miles do people get on a full tank?

Just bought a v50 d5 and had exactly 400 m on when it needed refilling. Is that good or bad?
