ok...progress so far! what a mission! done the door cards, done the dash top, but....the rest of the dash is such a mission, got it nearly off.
i wanted to leave the wood where it was and just take the panels around the glove box and under steering wheel...but.....it seems that the panels are screwed in from behind and attached to the large plastic section that runs across the whole top of the dash, so looks like a complete removal. it got cold and wet last night so i gave up but im about to embark on it again this morning. sad thing is i have to do everything twice! Any tips on the removal greatly appreciated! o and the colour looks fab so far! |

Yeah i am super pleased so far, the new colour looks amazing and its in such great condition.
finished doing all the seats, carpet and bits of trim today. the dash is out, just have to try and seperate the bottom panels(glued!) and put the dash back in. The Red 850R now has my old beige leather/suede interior and looks quite good actualy, i think they should have been this way round in the first place! But im gonna be different and keep my scandavian birch so i hope it looks ok......i think it will! and i might be the only one! i have a few pics of my progress so ill put some in a gallery soon Last edited by xxx-850R-xxx; Mar 29th, 2006 at 20:40. |
