  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

no not at all , it is very rare the fan "cuts in" , maybe if it is 30+ C outside it might . Volvo cooling systems have a vast reserve capacity , also remember a diesel produces very little heat when it is running at low rpm or idling .
Your car has a variable speed cooling fan it will never be running at full speed in this country . You might find it turning very slowly to move some air but you will not hear that . If you have no pressure when hot i would fit a new coolant bottle cap . The cooling fan should always turn slowly when you turn the AC on ...

Hi there,

I have a 2010 2.0d and I am wondering if your bonnet gets hot after the vehicle has been driven for a while?

My fans seem to turn on intermittently but after driving for a while the bonnet in the areas from the coolant tank across the radiator get very warm.
Is this normal.
