I think when you start an add here telling porkie pies like 290BHP and 39 MPG you are putting everything you say about the car in doubt "new looking cam belt" too is NOT the same as saying NEW CAM BELT at XXXX miles - you are talking to the experts here and just making yourself look silly - also Ex Plod cars are an acquired taste for the few.
Looks clean though but as you can see its not selling most likely because it is too expensive for an ex plod car. regards

He doesn't also say that there IS a new cambelt, any car I have owned, if it doesn't give me the date/mileage then I get it changed no matter what. You can see that this chap isn't having the best of luck with the sale, hence the price drops but he doesn't need someone to try and pour water on his flames when he needs to get rid of it. I know plenty of people that would take a plod car over a 'normal' car - simply put, a standard T5 could have been far more thrashed and not cared for than a plod which will always have had top service. |

270 -290bhp??? - well thats what I was told when I bought the car and a friend (traffic copper over 13 yrs) has told me they are not standard. 39 MPG - thats what autotrader tech data (click performance & economy) says the car will do and I personally have seen 34MPG fully loaded so an unladen car probably could achieve 39's. http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk...pTechSpec=true Cambelt - Your making it look like Im claiming its new, I just said it looks new and Ive clearly stated I can't confirm if it has recently been replaced!!! As for ex-plod cars and it being too expensive maybe you are right, the current finantial climate + time of year are not helping so Ive dropped the price by £600 and had a couple of p/x offers but its still for sale. I would edit the details but sadly I can't access that function anymore. Regards Last edited by Ari; Nov 10th, 2008 at 18:15. |

Don't worry bud, you can only pass on the info you have been given/told when you bought
Like I said If I was in the position to buy (and believe me, seeing this, I wish I was) I'd be up your way like a shot Seems like a very sound car for a quite reasonable price |

Ive looked at the VADIS disk I recently aquired and there is a seperate section for Police cars...it confirms they are not standard, they have different suspension, etc. So the seller is correct in saying not the same as a standard T5.
In any case when buying secondhand you should make your own mind up what its worth to YOU and consider other factors e.g. cost of replacing cam belt, etc.. I have no doubt Ari is not trying to pull the wool over anyones eyes and if your old enough to drive it your old enough to make your own decisions and live by them. Well thats my tupence worth...Good luck with the Sale.
