Hi,
I have the same problem on my XC70... "it was a o-ring gasket in oil pipe joint". Do you have a picture of the oil pipe joint? Can you help to locate the oil pipe joint? Thank you |

Behr oil cooler
Hi, the oil cooler is external box on the back side of engine close, right to oil draining, two cooling lines coming in/out. The oil connection o-ring are inside and not to be seen without removing the box. looks something like here:

oil cooler
Hi, in my case the oil cooler was changed 2 years ago by previous owner, with head gasket and radiator.
2 years later (and 35000km) I have oil in coolant tank...! The oil connection o'ring is inside the box? Is it possible to see it when the box is removed from the engine? |

Behr oil cooler
Hi, dealer did this for me so no direct hands on understanding, but
if you follow the link and enlarge the v70 cooler picture, you can see two round holes I assume the oil comes in/out and expect the o-rings around the pipes? br Tapsa |
