Most dog-guards seem to be half-height i.e. they only cover the area from the top of the rear seats upwards. I'd be interested to know if Volvo or anyone else has made a full-height dog-guard that allows the rear seats to be folded flat for luggage while still excluding your dog from the area. Any clues please?

To the best of my knowledge Volvo first made a full height
metal dog guard for the second gen XC90, but I may be wrong.

You can buy aftermarket dog cages that fit, and then you could fold the seats down.

Thanks. We're only a week into having a V70 on the drive and looking ahead to a week away later in the year. The dog shows no inclination to invade the passenger space on other cars, but I'd like to find out what's out there.

If you have a small dog up to jack russell size or thereabouts, they can easily get through the gaps at the sides of the Volvo dog guard. Ask me how I know!

Ha ha! Yes, our (late) Jack Russell seemed able to squeeze through gaps that even a greased ferret couldn't manage! Our current pooch is a retired racing Greyhound, and although she's a very slim beast she's usually very content to sleep on journeys.

Happy to take £30 for it plus postage

I still have this available. Losing my garage soon so it will be going to scrap if no takers - feel free to make me an offer
