Hi Stuart.
What is this 'booster' and how does it work? Is it a different sort of gas or something? Surely the efficiency of the heat exchanger is the determining factor in how cold it will get? Cheers, Dan. |

Power boost is a special oil that's supposed to disperse the existing oil to help the system work more efficiently.
I have to say I have my doubts, although no expert on this stuff, I frequented the A/C boards 'across the pond' when I was getting the system working on my old 360, and they were no great believers in any 'extras.' In their opinion only R134a gas and PAG oil belonged in a system, along with UV dye if wanted. My system will freeze the evaporator solid if you adjust the thermostat down lower (not a good idea, evaps are meant to get just to the point of freezing and no more) and all that has is R134a and oil. |
