Panda Cola was the cheap brand by us. Pretty grim.
Interesting to hear perceptions from other countries/continents. Companies spend millions on establishing a brand perception and clearly what works in one country does not work in another. In the UK the number of large, good quality SUV style cars, eg XC60, is relatively limited. Volvo sell well over here because it is a very good product in a limited option market. My small experience of the US is that there are lots of options in this segment and so if you don't get your sales and marketing spot on then you will struggle. Thanks ptrfram. Interesting stuff.

Do see your point though regards the choc scenario in so far as Thorntons is a bit more exclusive and 'classy' than the common Dairy Milk Factually and seriously regards chocolate - check out Aldis chocolate - including the white choc - really nice and half the price of what you may normally choose.
