I presume that means they are ready now, also with it saying P1 I presume that's pre-facelift only, would also be nice if there was an install video or guide so I can see how it's all fitted and how the GPS works, I had better start saving. |

I tell you what that unit looks brilliant, I can see that transforming the car into something to compete with new motors out there, and it comes with a separate DVD player in the glovebox and all plug & play.
I have got mega wantage for one of those, looks like they cost 590 Euros?

How long will that take do you think?
I showed the unit to my two teenage kids last night and they were *very* excited about it. They said it would bring the car up to modern standards. Do you know if the sat nav is built in? I couldn't see that in the info. And is the unit literally a self-fit i.e. unplug the old and plug in the new?

I'm waiting to find out the actual delivery.
The sat nav and maps are all included, you just specify Europe, USA etc when ordering. They also sent me an email to find out what audio we have at the moment and any existing add-ons like auxiliary input, they said this is so the correct wiring is supplied. I intend to self fit, Bluepower do offer a fitting service, not sure it's worth a trip to Sweden though The new unit sounds pretty simple to install, there is something about retaining part of the existing controls but I'm not sure about that. I've watched youtube videos on taking the old audio out to replace CD etc and it looks a bit fiddly but nothing too bad. Can't wait! |

That's great if the sat nav is included, very neat, and I guess the voice-over comes through the speakers.
I have the 'High Performance' standard system, I wonder if this Bluepower unit uses the standard Amp somehow? the standard speakers are high quality maybe the BP unit does everything built in? i see it has 4 x 60W outputs. Do you know if it comes with an Aux-in plug and if that's on the screen bit somewhere? I've had the floating console off before and it was easy, the head unit should just slot in the existing cubby hole. Sorry for all the q's I'm just very interested and very close to ordering.

The Blue Power Unit in the S60/V70 is plug and play with the AMP so would expect no less from the S40 version.

Sorry to necro this but -,
Has anyone fit this on their car? I'm on the verge of ordering one but I keep telling myself it's too good to be true. |

I ordered soon after the launch, I haven't had deliver yet. I've been advised, possibly early November for delivery. Unless someone's been very lucky I'd suggest no one will have tried a unit yet.
