I have an original volvo 264 M45 gearbox with all other parts that are needed to convert an automatic into a manual.
I don't know if that's interesting for you? |

Thanks for the replies.
For now ive got a bit of a plan sorted till I can find a suitable gearbox. Firstly im going to move the battery to the boot and move the radiator overflow right next to the radiator. To make space for a cold air induction. Looks like a vx commodore air box will sit in nicely to replace the volvo ufo air filter. Then im going to remove all the air conditioning gear. I was told since this is belt driven and has its own belt removing it all will be benificial. Then im going to get some custom extractors and twin exhaust system made up. Your probs a bit to far away. But cheers anyway. If I cant find anything in "my area" I might hit you up. |

Hey Bandit,
just a slight warning: don't stress the B27 too much by running the machine too "sporty". The heads are quite sensitive. The liners intend to sink in case of overheating. Consequence will be leaking. Realigning is much work! I would never run the engine over 3000-3500 RPM. Problems are reduced with a B28/B280. If you are interested in a more dynamic layout: Why not trying to combine a manual tranny with a shorter ratio in the rear axle / differential? Best regards Clemens

Thanks for the heads up Clemens. 3000 - 3500rpm is highway in my car though.
So i should probs just forget about ever trying to turbo it... im ok with that. I just want to work on it. The other mods shouldn't worry it right? its not like it will be increasing power much at all. just making it run a bit better. I would love to take it, i know how easy it would make life for me but i dont have the money to pay for it or shipping right now, im sure it would cost a pretty penny. ill give it a few months and if i havent found anything close to me ill be asking twoluckyone if that one is still available for sure. |
