What is the switch with the 'A with a curved arrow' around it for?

It's the auto start-stop on/off switch. Works really well, although I imagine there might be an issue with bright brake lights for the driver behind. The engine stops when the brake pedal is held down after stopping, and restarts when brake pedal released. It seems to default to being on, but can be deactivated with the switch.

Isn't that the stop/start deactivation button?
Sorry, beaten to it. Last edited by Flux; Mar 1st, 2014 at 17:22. |

Nice review, thanks!
I'm in a long line for one later in the year, nice to hear a positive review having ordered "blind" ! I bet the stop-start with brake lights on will irritate drivers behind.... Cheers |

So, the FWD D4 VEA now comes with double exhaust pipes?

Yes, they look fantastic on the car. Now standard on all engine variants for SE and SE Lux spec.

Look forward to seeing how you get on with the flappies. You'll definitely be pleased with the engine performance.

TBH I rather like the integrated exhaust of the SE & SE LUX spec. It does look more 'of the day' and a little more sophisticated. I have noticed a lot of cars now cleverly disguise twin exhaust systems and integrate into the rear bumper design without managing to take away the muscular look of the vehicle. The R Design looks a bit 'obvious' if you know what I mean........although I have ordered an R Design!!!! Last edited by Flux; Mar 2nd, 2014 at 09:50. |

new 2014 XC60 collected yesterday
I've had the same positive experience as Spaceman. What a car! Super smooth auto box and very quick in "S" mode. So much better than my last car. So glad I waited for the 181bhp FWD version. Very distinctive look to the car inside and out and seating more versatile than the Honda CRV. Just need to find a way to remove the boot floor and then I will have a very classy, drivable prestige car on the outside and a small van inside. My idea of perfect.
