Are you able to supply a dvd unit for the Volvo RTI sat nav? I have an 2002 S60 which my local dealer advises, is suffering from a broken dvd unit and they want me to pay a considerable sum to replace it - could buy 6 Tom Toms instead! Thanks

Apart from the fact that its illegal to be able to see TV when driving....

I had an S60 with RTI, so put an iMiV in it and they pre set the firmware to allow video.

I could watch Ipod video (fantastic quality) and got a DV3 digital tuner from ebay, and glass mount antenna.

Much more channels to watch (whlist stationery of course) via freeview and even has a remote control so all can be operated from driving seat.

I sold the S60 and the guy did not want iMiV (fitted it in my V70) but as I dont have the RTI in my car the digi tunderand antenna is going to be for sale... PM me if your interested..

Give VolvoTech a shout, they got one for a third of the price I had been quoted by main dealer. Its a factory recon but is as good as new !

Thanks Overwoody, I'll give them a try - my dealer wanted nearly £800 for the DVD unit and that was after a discount for being in the 6 year old club!!!

When I looked at imiv solution I seem to remember they have firmware option that over-rides the motion cut out sensor... saves any cut wires and chance of screwing up the nav system... just my 2p worth!

PS if anyone has the XC90 rear seat entertainment system with swivel screens and a 10 disc DVD player under the boot floor and is struggling to get parts or have the system serviced by dealers, I can help as I was the original designer and supplier to Volvo UK
Hi Elliott - tried to PM you but I cannot as I have not posted enough on here.
Are you still doing the above?? Im interested for it on a 2006 S60
Thanks, Kelvin
