Not dad dancing?
Lol one arm. I know what you're saying I love the car,
Money is tighter than a nats rear end now.

I'm going to put it on this forum as full car to see if there is any interest if not, the death march will be playing as the first spanner is applied[URL=http://s1351.photobucket.com/user/sigespark/media/20140627_134042_zpsns8gta5q.jpg

Out of interest, why are you breaking it? (or why are you thinking of breaking it I should say) - in other words, what's wrong with it? All I can see from your first post is that the gearbox doesn't drive right and might need topping up and the pickup oil seals need doing - seems a shame to break a car just 'cos it needs gearbox oil topping up and some seals, so perhaps I've misunderstood the situation!

Auto box problems can be lots of things too. Some are quite easily fixable you would. You would get more even if you do decide to sell it, if you can get it working .
Check the gearbox threads out first . It would break my heart to part with mine .
Still keep
Me updated on the window switch if you decide to go down the spannery route.

It's the old scenario cold hard cash. I haven't been able to work for 10 weeks, operation next tuesday then hopefully 6 weeks recovery.
I have a vito to run for when I'm working.
Volvo to do list road tax £150, 2 tyres £140, sump seals and oil/filter £150, auto fluid £12, materials to paint wing and bonnet £150, track rod end £15, mot £40. Parts only.

All though it would be an immaculate example at the end of it it is not possible to do.

Hi mate,
Sorry to hear you're in this situation.
If you do break her I'm after an Egg-crate Grille and have seen '03 C70s with them as standard. If yours has it can I get 1st shout on it? No hurry.
Regards,
Steve

Well guys I think sorted the gearbox problem, it was about a litre over filled. I haven't had chance to do a full long test drive yet, only worry is if a muppet over filled it by a litre it's very likely it's the wrong fluid also.

Has anyone drove an auto volvo that had the wrong specification fluid in the box at all.

Cheers

Simon

Glad to hear you are getting some progress, the auto box is the most worrying problem you have to deal with . Everything else is easy meat. I hope you manage to keep him , they say the weather is going to be hotter than Barbados by the weekend , just get your roof down and sit in the driveway if you have to .
