I can't make this as it is the National BKV this weekend and I am committed as I have parts for other members.

Hi all, i certainly do not want to put a downer on things but at penny flash please be aware there are teams of thieves roaming. even if your car is locked they will still attack it.

my sister had her car boot broken into and all her asthma medication stolen as well as her bag, purse etc.

very nice place but please be carefull.

Dont think most people stray far from the cars at the meets anyway. But good to know in case anyone wants to have a wander off later on.

Always handy to keep in mind Keith.
It does sometimes happen and sometimes with little notice.

Bear in mind though that at least one time in the recent past there has been ' lets say, an unauthorised encampment of persons including caravans not too far away'.

As I speak there isn't one nearby but who knows for the future.

Not that I would suggest they were responsible of course.

I have made enquiries tonight at wlct as to whether we will be granted a separate parking area again.
Awaiting reply.

I PM'd Mark about this meet a couple of weeks ago and re his contact there but Mark has not visited the forum this year so doubt he's seen my message.

OK guys & galls here's the latest.

I've had a reply to my eMail to the wlct parks officer and been told in advance that the booking is accepted and a separate parking area should be available for the meet again.

I've completed and returned the booking form and risk assessment as required - lucky I eMailed him - I didn't know a booking form & RA was required.

One slight difference from last year though is that we are each required to pay the normal Pay & Display parking fee unless using a disabled badge.

From memory of last year when I called there and checked I think the P&D was £1.00 for any period between dawn and dusk on the same day.

Out of interest, how many definites do we have?
