It reminds me of a small MAF Sensor, doesn't look like there is anything repairable in it.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate and it works perfectly. Just make sure Windows is up to date before installing.

I REALLY fancy one of those!!

Did it come with the "VIDA all-in-one" software mentioned in the listing too, ie was it complete and ready to go?

Thanks..

Yes, wasn't easy to install but that was because my laptop didn't have all the updates installed. Took me 2 days to realise why it wasn't installing properly, soon as all the updates were installed everything ran perfectly ... lol

Daft Q... Does the VIDA/Dice tool do the ECU updates, or is that still a dealer only job?

Its able to access everything so I guess it could. Normally it would download the latest software updates direct from Volvo but as the software can't go online(locally activated only) its not able to download them. If you were able to download the updates from somewhere else and had them on your laptop I'm pretty sure it could install them.

These cloned VIDA/DICE units are technically able to downloads and apply them to the car but the process is not as simple as you think.

You would need to have an active subscription and registered with Volvo and updates STILL have to actually be ordered through a dealer and are then assigned to a registered device (subscription activated device) who can then download and apply the update.

As an aside, have you come across the day lights option settings in the program, can you turn off the active bi-xenon "day lights" with the dashboard light switch to off?

Cheers
