Thanks Shadeyman... I've read that thread before... I'll give it a look-see, but need to find a good local indie with VIDA/DICE... Our main agent charges £85 per hour, or part thereof... Both the local indies I've spoken to go with local auto-electricians, so might be as well to go direct (or just with my "relay bodge" - nil cost option as I have the relays...) I'll report more in shorter time (shorter than two years anyway - lol!)

Purchase your own copy of VIDA/DICE, costs about the same as having an indie read the codes for you.

VIDA Will run on Vista, depends which version of VIDA you purchase.

I'm planing to update the OS on my Tosh laptop so I can use up to date diagnostics in the garage - I'm the only one who uses the laptop now, so I'll sneak it out and see if anyone notices... That'll let me use the latest versions of the various software tools I want to play with (I need to play with ignition and fuel injection mapping for other projects too).
