Not petty at all, there's always another car and when you've still got the cash in your hand you're in a much better negotiating poition that when it's in theirs.

anyone know if the stereo wiring on this model are fibre optic?

yes there are and i would say you had a lucky escape. so far i have found the v50 is far to over complicated for it own good and is plagued with electrical problems

i would have a read of some of the v50 posts and make your own mind up. if i could tuen back time i would have got the 1k cheaper focus and probley had far less issues. but i think the late ones after face-lift have a lot less issues mine is a 2005 so a early one

I'm having the original v50 now. Called Percy's bluff and rang back with card details to refund my deposit.A different geezer then agreed to knock me off enough to buy an Io play 2, Not realising the first guy had agreed to a 12 month parts and labour warranty. Win win
