I didn't remove these pipes, just knocked them when I clamped the flow of water off. The yellow plastic clips themselves look pretty brittle. one of them actually looks broken.

I have had the plastic bends that pass through the bulkhead been cracked.
You can use some hydraulic hose and clamps to replace the plastic parts and the multitude of o rings. I cut the alloy pipes inside the cabin lower down for ease of sliding on the new hose. Nice tight fit and no leaks in a couple of years. I believe the original setup is for ease of installation on the production line. The engine bay picture shows the hose pushed through the plastic surround. actually pushes in a bit further for a neater look. |

so it appears I have a 2 different usernames! thats going to get confusing! Ypcmarshal and Pyro are both the same person!
after 4 hours of fighting ive had to bypass the heater with a length of hose and take a steady drive home. The coupling part doesn't fit past what I am assuming is the vaporiser, or part of the climate control. I tried just popping new o-rings and spacers in the old coupling, but it appears the unit has completely failed. If I could force the old part out I'd be able to do snarkosnarko's pipe fix! Any help appreciated, had to cancel a dirty weekend away so I'm pretty peeved at this point! cheers! Ben (both of them!) Last edited by pyro; Dec 14th, 2017 at 19:55. |

If i remember correctly, i too was unable to remove the cracked part and had to physically break it to get it out. There doesn't seem enough room to wriggle it past.

That fits with what I've found/finding out. I'm heading to the workshop for round 5 shortly. I'm hoping to do what you have done with the flexi hose etc.

Morning campers.
Well so far so good, a couple of hours yesterday and I've got everything plumbed in, no leaks so far! I'm not going to say its sorted because that will jinx it! Couldn't believe the heat out of the vents though, seriously impressed. First thing I did was turn the heat down as it was too warm! I ordered a Nissens matrix from eBay, came with the foam strip, o-rings and 2 years warranty, not bad for 32 quid posted! Took the opportunity to clear the scuttle drains too. Both had 12" of sludge and sycamore seeds in them! cheers for all your help and patience Ben |
