Also, although the radio isn't working, it isn't safe to assume that the radio itself is at fault.

You might also benefit from starting a new thread about this, as the current thread is about ripping music, and not repairing or replacing car radios.

If you create a new thread with an informatively worded title then you should get a useful response.

How should I fill tags by Mp3Tags:
- %artist%
- %autor%
- %album%
- %title%
- %genre%

Hi,
after some experimentation, I came up to a simple solution which sounds good for me.
I'm going to post it here in case it can help someone else

The usb drive has this structure: Artist 1..N -> Album 1..N -> Song 1..N
where song is a file named: track. title - artist - album.mp3


By Mp3Tag tool, I set tags as follows (in bold non trivial settings)
- TITLE: track. title - artist
- ALBUM: album
- ARTIST: artist
- ALBUMARTIST: artist
- GENRE: genre
- COMPOSER: genre

In that way the genre tab in the Volvo Sensus shows its own genres coming from gracenote (even if it seems that in most cases the formatted song name somehow breaks gracenote search).

The composer tab, instead, shows my own genre categorization.

I'm mostly happy with that solution

Is it possible to listen to all songs from an artist or with a specific genre?

If I click an artist in the volvo sensus, it shows me the list of his/her albums and I can only choose a specific album with its songs

If I click a genre, it shows me the list of artists and from here the list of albums and, same as before, I can only choose a specific album.

It seems there is no way to start listening all songs from an artist/genre regardless albums: you must always play an album.

Is that true or I miss something?
