Well, new standard rear shocks and springs installed yesterday - £305 for parts and labour - and a fresh MOT obtained today. As you said, the display is showing '4C service required' (which doesn't cancel using the stalk button), and the amber warning triangle is illuminated. Is it possible to get that code cleared?

dealer might be able to program it out? I would have thought that's the only option really unless someone knows better

maybe Vdash is an alternative choice by someone who knows how

That's because you don't have the proper Electronic Rear suspension dampers on. There will be a loose plug dangling exposed to the elements near each rear damper. The code won't clear with a fault like that. You need the proper 4C type rear dampers.

Clan Yes, I'm aware of that. I think you've slightly misunderstood. You might be able to justify spending £600 (or probably double for Monroes), plus springs, plus fitting, but I can't. I'd rather live with the fault code.
