Fair enough, 260 bhp is an achievable figure - a warning though, you might catch the bug big time once you get to 260! I know I did with my old S40 - they are great cars and a massive bonus that they are built on Mitsubishis evo chassis as well

i think they are actually built on mitsi carima chassy not evo.and 260 bhp is an easy figuare to do aslong as you pick your mods carefully .

They are definately on an Evo chassis - carisma's are also on an evo chassis aswell. You can simply bolt evo bits on to S40's as I did on mine e.g. rear evo strut brace & evo brakes. Thats all I did to mine but you can swap bushes, hubs, wheels, interior, engine (with work), 4 wheel drive system (with work) etc.

Firebolt on here is doing a complete evo 4wd, interior and evo engine swap on his V40

Here is firebolts project thread : http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=41913

260 bhp is not "easy" as you are getting very close to rod bending torque when you get to that much bhp. The Volvo chocolate rods are the weak points of the white block engines.

I think firebolt is a better person to ask as im not 100% sure - not sure if he is still around? Might be worth sending him a pm. I am 99% sure they will fit, but I think the angles are wrong so they are not useable....
