Ah ran out of mig gas. I got the rad crossmember tacked in and then thought I'd take a look at the wee patch on the chassis rail. It was just plated over so thought I'd make the repair and call it a day. Hopefully get some gas tomorrow after work.

Is it not a BH tomorrow in Scotland or do you work Bank Holidays due to the nature of your job?

Made a start on the welding after work today. Considering it's not lovely clean new metal it went pretty good and neater than it looks. Got plenty of penetration so good and strong if not pretty.

All welded up the crossmember, just grinding to finish off.

Finished the grinding and welding. I tidied up previous repairs with the new repairs and then coated with Bilthamber rust converter for now. I injected the cavities with Jenolite aerosol rust converter and will finish off with epoxy primer and Dynax S-50.

Sprayed the internals again with rust converter, quick rub down, clean and spray can epoxy the exterior bits. That will do until they get done properly.

Houston we have a problem. Repair inner wing welded on about 10mm too low. Looks like my welding isn't finished.
