Spotted 240s - Page 21

Poor old DL"S..They tend to get driven into the ground..Its a shame about this one..its a great colour..The rust on this is only the tip of the iceberg methinks..did i also spot some rust around the windscreen?..thanks for the picture..makes me feel slighty more fortunate that my old DL is a few years behind on the tin worm..hj.

Don't be sorry for it, at least it's still on the road! If it was an Escort that was that "well used" it would have been thrown away 10 years ago!

I don't like seeing mint cars abused, but I do like seeing work horses that have been abused kept on the road for as long as possible!

You're right honestjoe, the windscreen surround looked very ropey.

I do like 240s like this though, it looks like it has been a member of the family for a long time, and that it has been loved (sort of!) and patched up just enough to keep going. Just what a 240 is supposed to do, give long and faithful service.

More spots!!!

Another Tors in the area and a white GL I have seen once or twice. Still to snap the blue saloon though seems to have disappeared....

Spotted on Wensum Street in Norwich tonight, it was there at 7, and still there by 8:30. It's another DL, but this one looks to be in pretty good condition.

One was parked at the Staffordshire Show Ground this afternoon at 2o'clock. "F" reg'd GL(?) with a Leicestershire dealer sticker on the registration plates, a couple of slots away from SFSS. No camera, so no photo

this one was spotted by Lancashire Constabulary and they kindly sent me the picture....

it was a long time ago and have since sold it and moved address ....which meant no fixed penalty but a court appearence ....CRIKEY !!!!

(lucky they only caught me at 36 ...my speedo used to bounce between 30 and 40 as if to the beat of music)
