I used a different brand of a similar product, found using a hairdryer on each coat immediately i applied it gave a much better finish. I also used sponge brushes, basically a small sponge on the end of a paintbrush handle.

There was a finishing coat as well, choice of matt, gloss or satin, i chose the satin for a mid sheen. Again, used a hair dryer to dry it then left them all in the airing cupboard for a few weeks to completely cure.

It dries pretty quick anyway Dave. It's a fair bit cooler today with the East wind so I might leave till it's warmer to finish it off

I was doing mine indoors in a nice warm lounge Mark, it still needed encouragement.

Have to confess i didn't even think about using a light grey to do my door cards, think i'll look into that now seeing as i want mine grey instead of black............

Still have a few more coats to go to get a proper even finish
Nice job on your door cards, I did mine a while back but went the opposite way to you, from the black to grey, recoloured the leather seats I'd bought as well in two tone, I used Furniture Clinic products, now a couple of years on and still ok, David (can't upload the photo's for some reason)

I'm trying to work out how to upload pics to a decent size rather than little thumbnail pics

The TRG paint works well and can also be used on leather. I will have a look at furniture clinic as I might change seats at some point

If you go to postimages.org Mark and create an account (it's free) then once you've uploaded your images to it, click the share button on the image you want, it will bring up a list of different codes, click the blue button at the end of where it says "Hotlink for foums" and "Copied" will appear on the screen over the "Close" button that closes all the lnks for that image and returns you to the album.

Then just right click where you want the pic to appear in your post and click "Paste". I normally hit "Return" on the keyboard twice to firstly get to the next line and secondly to give a clear line "border" under the pic.

Also remembered the product i used, it came from "RepairWizard" on fleabay (they also do windscreen chip repair kits - excellent things!) and you should be able to find the colour you want/need from this listing :

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Leather-V...e/122424262898

They have the leather prep and finish as separate listings, easy enough to find.
