What a nice motor car at a sensible price. It has a good MoT history and only 80odd thousand miles. I get the feeling the seller has been messed about a bit by prospective buyers - if a genuine buyer steps forward now he/she could get a nice motor car at a good price.

Well, that 144 seems to have sold this time - at £3,100. Is that a good price for a middling 144? I don't know, but the market seems to have spoken (unless we see it again next week).

Many thanks. A lovely part of our country it is as well; I delivered a 244 to Selkirk only last month and skirted around Galashiels on the way. It was a 2 day trip with a car and trailer though (from Northamptonshire); most the potential buyers for a motor car like this might consider that a long way north and would be put off by the journey and the costs.

It depends upon one's perspective of course, from Glasgow it is just down road, but the larger proportion of our nation lives further south and would consider Newcastle too far north to collect a motor car.

Can't think that it was worth the engine premium, given the amount of work needed, but I guess someone thought otherwise. Rarity premium, I suppose.
