Absolutely! The A*se is still hurting from the last trip to Holland! And Volvo UK say no one has complained!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

someone has designed them like this for some reason .
As i see it , volvo wont knowingly allow having a UK car running around UK with the headlamps pointing to the wrong side , so they default the correct way for those forgetfull people . If you have RTI it would only be a small tweek of software to get them to automaticaly point to the side which the current country demands ..

So instead we drive around Europe with lights pointing the wrong way?

For me, 50% of my annual mileage is in Europe.

50 - 50 , I see , well i think you are lucky in being able to change them over from the comfort of your seat without having to get out the car in all weathers rather than stick things on the lens , take the lights out and cover off and flick a lever by hand or on some cases having to fit new lights ..which most of us have to do .
Maybe this isn't a Volvo issue with self change over lights, but legislation .. much like having to have levelling systems and washers on Bi-Xenon lights ..

No each trip last for 2 weeks, so I possibly have to remember around 30-40 times each trip!!

I wrote to the factory in Sweden in July, initially no answer and then found an email address. CEM@volvocars.com

Their response was that if Volvo UK felt it was an issue which enough people needed then they would ask Sweden for a solution and until they did, while seeing that it was a problem they would not progress it further! Zap...................

He did offer me a tour of the Volvo Museum if ever I was in Goteborg! All very unsatisfactory.

Having tested this again mine do 100% stay on RH traffic setting once set. I set them in park with engine on on Thurs night. Fri when i started, still in RH traffic. I could not change them back until I stopped the car and put it in park again.

So something odd if mine work and yours don;t, but they definitely stay set.

I have been really happy with my XC60 for last 3 years, always ranting on about the excellent mpg until...

....my last service (Oct 12) when garage loaded a computer update. Now my average MPG is dropping like a stone, my driving and journeys have not changed and I noticed the fall in fuel economy immediately. Garage say that others have mentioned it but nobody seems willing to do anything about. Has anyone else had the same problem?
