Received my new brake lines, directly from Goodridge today.

Correct part this time, so happy.

Painting the new sport grille's chrome verticals with plasti-dip at the minute, so it should be fitted this afternoon. Pics to follow.

Not sure if I will be able to put my car in for its brake and suspension work, as I fly out to Brest, in France for two weeks work, on Monday.

PITA, but it is worth a decent bit of cash to me.

The extra cash will pay for the labour involved and allow me to put some money past for spending on our summer holiday.

I knew it would either be you, or dog_book that commented on that!

Mind you, it's the first thing that comes into my head, when someone says the place name too.

What did you sell?

Old one, or the new one?

Sigh, it's back on again, but delayed for a couple of days instead.

Might still get the car in then.

LOL, the old one. The new one is a keeper, it's worth spending money on it, the old one is a wreck just waiting to die. Ended up selling it to a guy who buys wrecks until they die and then buys another one.

Got £375 for it, and was offered £300 by a breaker, so the most he will lose is £75 and he'll probably get at least 2 years out of it so I know where he's coming from with that approach... I lost £1325 in 3 years on my £1700 purchase price, spent about £800 on servicing and minor repairs in 3 years (and £800 on a new turbo), but got paid about £2500 in fuel expenses in that time, so it's more or less paid for itself, and I gained a man-love for the V40 and this forum so I'm more than happy with that.

Definitely better than it getting dragged 4000 miles to Estonia just to die.....

Did you give him the last of your spare parts too?
