Yesterday swapped the old xenon headlights from a V70 or for a set of refurbished xenon headlights with new plastic lenses.

And today installed a set of refurbished xenon abl-headlights for a set of refurbished xenon abl-headlights with new rechromed reflectors and new plastic lenses….

They look great, do you operate an exchange scheme ? Or do clients ship their headlights to you ?

Have had an intermittent "headlamp failure service required" message on starting the V70R (glass lense HIDs) up with one headlight not working. Turn it off and on again and then it seems to work.

Treated myself to two new D2R bulbs at £40 each. Replaced the non-working bulb but couldn't face doing the other one. Luckily I have smallish hands and the R air filter makes the job easier but they are still a fiddle. Whoever designed the bulb holder needs a good talking to. Trying no to damage or touch the bulb whilst getting it in and not caught on anything is somewhat testing.

Changed the faded xenon headlights for a refurbished set on someone else’s car.

Changed the oil and oil-filter on my own wagon. Next time the timingbelt etc will be replaced.. odometer will then show approx 555… km’s…

Gone but not forgotten: 2004/04 S60 D5 SE Mistral Green (now with my brother), 2004/54 V70 D5 SE in Ash Gold, 2006 V70 D5 185 Ruby Red.
