Ok, this is what I've got central locking wise.....
So would I def' have the later style fob? ![]() ![]() And I also need one of these as it's cracked and allowing oil vapour out... ![]() ![]() Also is there any market for the extra seats? What's the going rate? ![]() |

I thought about converting it to LPG but I was about to break a diesel 940 so I got to work!! The d24 is a bit of an aquired taste, but I love it. It still shifts when it comes on boost and with a tweaked fuel pump and the boost turned up I rekon it'd keep up with a petrol! ![]() Ade, I think you've got a VG2 alarm, so it's the later type fob for you. I don't know if they're still available new, maybe give Simon at FRF Volvo a shout, he's known on here as Rufe, try a search. Don't know about the other part, looks like some sort of breather vent? Can't hurt to ask Simon about that too. The seats in the boot always seem to sell well, have a look on ebay for an idea of what they go for. Steve ![]()

Oh yeah and I found that the fobs are available new, ordered one today. £45 (which is what the last used one went for on ebay!). Just need to find the guide for recoding it now.... |

Easy,
Flick your ignition on and off 4 times from position I to II (I think, maybe 5) and you'll see the LED flashing quickly. Now press the lock/unlock button on your fob, now you'll see the LED stay lit for a second or so. Done!! Steve ![]()

Got my new remote today, but can't get a response from anything!
Ignition on then off four times, then keep it on on the 5th? Nothing flashes either before or after I press the remote. Remote looks like this: ![]() |

Not a expert one this one but never had a remote, so have been viewing this thread with some interest. Have a 96' 940 with same set up as your car...tryed the four turns between postion 1 and 2 and it my speaker led flashes only need to source a fob now!

Hi.
If you're not getting any flashes at all from your speaker LED, then chances are that the alarm has been disconnected. Try the fuse (Sider panel of the dash I think) or the relay might have been removed, that's behind the panel to the left of the gearbox tunnel where it meets the bottom of the dash. Some people disconnect them because they don't want to shell out for a new fob! Steve ![]()
