I know you probably haven't had much time behind the wheel but I'd be interested to know how hard the ride will be now? Firebolt mentioned that the poly bushings in the rear arms squeeked. Keep us posted

I suppose there's a massive difference in price against the OEM bushings?

yes , a bit too soon for a good review, the ride is a bit harder, but strangely smoother. my car has never been comfortable with all the other mods i have done, but these bushes feel like they have ironed out all the kinks, knocks and jolts. everything feels like its working together better. hard to describe. not had any squeeks so far, i put plenty of grease around the bushes, but the good thing is they can now be easily removed and re-greased if i want to. dont know how much the dealership charges for bushes, but im pretty sure these poly bushes are a fair bit more expensive. but i cut the cost considerably by fitting them myself (and with the help of a mate). it probably would have cost a LOT more than what ive paid to buy stock bushes and get a garage to do the work.

Mine started sqeeking due to lack of grease! I certainly used lots of it when fitting them, but it all disappeared??? Most of it ended up on my hands is the most likely answer!
I collected most of the poly-bushes from Ebay! The trailing arm front bushes I got for £7 which is quite a saving when they are over £50 new!

mitsubishi evo 4-7 lower front engine/gearbox mount polyurethane bush is a direct replacement for the lower front volvo bush. it will also fit the rear volvo mount but the bolt hole is smaller on the rear volvo bush which isnt a problem, ill just insert another metal tube in the polyurethane bush to act as a spacer around the bolt that runs through the bush to pack it out.

ok i've done about 2k now since changing bushes. in total i changed rear trailing arm bushes, control arms and the rear anti-roll bar bushes (superflex part no: SPF1826/**K where ** is diameter of antiroll bar.) went for the standard castor bushes on the front. with respect to full wheel alignment, the camber on one side at the rear is out by .94 degrees and cannot be corrected anymore. i'm gonna live with it as its not hugely out but the only thing i think it can be is a fault with the bush manufacture as the other side is fine and tried a number ways to better it.
i dont know if i could say anything about hardness as i changed the whole suspension to the sport spec. although i dont mind the firm ride with the 17" wheels, i have noticed that the steering can be twitchy at low speeds going over bumpy roads. other than that i've had no issues, no squeeking etc everything is nice and firm and cornering is excellent
