hi would this solenoid effect the acceleration? i have a problem with hard acceleration uphill the car pauses for a few seconds (like its taking a breath) then goes again, it does it at 2100 and 3000ish rpm weather its hot or cold i notice it more on a cold start.
thanks in advance

Yes it could, although your symptoms sound more like a dirty EGR, as that will cause a lag at high revs. If it blocks it can result in a rough idle, but lag during acceleration seems to be the first symptom.

Ideally, you want diagnostics on it but at the very least, you want to test the VNT mechanism and actuator range of travel with a vacuum tester.

turbo pipes have been checked and the turbo itself has been rebuilt and flow tested with a new actuator. it feels really strong when accelerating until i hit these flat spots. I have the basic diagnostic you recommended and the icar soft diagnostic shows no faults.

Has it worked perfectly at all since the turbo was fitted?
