Not bothered about how many toys it's loaded with. I can see past the better stereo and the headlamp wash etc. I just want to know what a 2.0d V70 R-Design feels like to drive. Does the engine work with 1740kg car and do I like the handling. Does the lowered and stiffened bit really do anything. I keep being told, I won't notice the difference between that an SE and it's done a styling exercise. Fine but they dont have any b****y SEs to try either!
I'm just hoping phoning Volvo will help |

Hello,
I am a company car user, and V70 R Design is the next car on the list, driving a black 58 plate 2.0D R Design tomorrow, will let you know how it drives, although I will not have another bench mark V70 to pitch it against, ie an SE. I cannot understand why the R Design is hard to get hold of, I did try to look at one a few months ago when they first hit the market - but it was impossible, in fact my local volvo dealer didnt know exactly what an R Design was - they informed me it didnt even have leather - although all press releases stated otherwise! But I cannot understand why R Design's are not common place - they are going to and are selling like hot cakes now, they are great value for money, offer a volvo with a young image, plus volvo are offering great deals on motability and company car lease offers, as this 2.0d unit offers low taxation, so why are they not around ?? My local dealer has realised all of this and has 2 demo's available and for sale at just over £20k, great value as list is £28k. These R design's are just right for the younger market, to get out of Audi's, Merc's etc. |

Agread i think all the dicks that used to run M3s and BMW series 3 now moved to Audi
I run an Audi so the volvo to me fits the slot of a little understated affordable and still fun I collect mine in 2 days now cant wait and just hoping the new model has got the steering sorted |
