Is it like Rivington Barn, where bikers look at other people's bikes, (been there got bored, riding is better than looking) or is it a convenient place for volvo users to ask questions of other users like "does this sound right to you?" or "is there a better place to put my CD changer, so I can get more camping equipment in?"

The Queens Arms, Astley on the junction of Chaddock Lane (A572) and the East Lancs (A580) is popular with my family.

Well it's a bit of both really.

Yes we look and admire, especially for older well kept Volvos ( but I doubt we get bored, we are Volvo people ).

We ask questions too - does it sound right to you - that would be a good example.

But riding round at the meet ( tyres screeching, engines highly revving etc ) is not an option at the park - on the road outside the park, maybe, if that is what you want.

It's a social event to meet others with similar interests.
Come along and see, it's not too far away for you, you don't have to stay if it's not your scene.

Not been to the Queen's Arms for donkeys years but that sounds like a valid eating place too on your recommendation.

Colin

Hi Alan,

The postcode is WN7 3PA.

The entrance to the Flash is almost directly opposite the firestation..
There are those brown local attraction signs directing the way once within a couple of miles.

Hope to see you there.

Colin

Well I've just received the start sheet for the race on the Rainford bypass somewhat earlier on Sunday morning. I'm off at 8.10am so I'll have to be up at about 6am .

This could be me at the meet

Must remember to take a flask

Praying for sunny weather. Racing in cold and wet at that time on a Sunday morning is not pleasant . And I'll get the car dirty
