You need a copy of the proper Volvo wiring diagrams I think.

ive got a haynes manual ill have with the the wiring diagram in, ill have to have a look for it

Are there supposed to be two main lives going into the fuel relay or just one main 12v feed ?

Just found out that theirs hardly any power coming from the ECU (Motronic) to the relay, about 2v

anyone know what can cause this ?

I'm reading but can't help much sorry. Not sure what the output from the ECU is supposed to be. Can you check the supply to the ECU, if it's OK then it might be something in the ECU.

Thanks Steve really appreciated, i know its not the ECU because ive got two spare that i know are functional, i just need to find the main 12v feed into the ECU, i dont know why but i think the Crank position sensor is at fault

I had a look at the wiring diagrams I have and they only go back as far as 94. The earth for the ECU does look like it's going to the bolt on earth plate things whatever it is at the base of the A post.
If your car has the under bonnet supression relay that supplied some of the injection system that might be worth checking as well. It's main purpose is to reduce electrical noise from the injectors etc.
My car wouldn't start, fitted a different relay and it did so I didn't really look much furthur.
