I rang around several dealers and the best quote i got was £500 from a dealer in Leeds , I put this to my local dealer and he said the best they could do would be £600 all in .
I went to the local dealer because it would of meant a day out and £50 in fuel going to the other place .I know this is not a massive saving but at least i got something off . |

Drove the new 205 PS twin turbo diesel today on the Naughty Volvo track day.
Very smooth, but a bit laggy and not that super quick to be honest, that was in the new S60 which is quite a heavy car though. The Mid range was fairly decent. That said... I do have a stage 3 T5 mind you, and I would have cried if the D5 was anywhere near as quick |

Interesting to hear how the Polestar upgrade went - thanks.
Can you tell yet if your fuel economy has changed - up or down? thanks |

ah right... well you're not missing that much with the twin turbo... as if you're in an auto that will cover up most of the lag of the single turbo anyways

My fuel consumption figures have gone from 27.5 mpg average before the upgrade to 30.2 average doing the same trips to and from work.

Thats quite a heavy pair of shoes you've got.
Do we know which insurers wont bother with a premium on a polestar? |

bhp vs kW
Interestingly the ECE output has indeed increased to 200 bhp but... the 136 kW figure remains unchanged !
IMHO that's the only information mentionned on EU conformity certificates (hence no requirement fo re-testing, re-homologation etc...) Food for thoughts... J |

The 136 kw figure was probably a misprint on the Sept 13th specs sheet - the Sept 20th sheet has this changed to 147.
Has anyone else with the Polestar upgrade (on the 185 D5) seen the 10% improvement in mpg reported by uncle997? Makes it an interesting option if that is a general result. thanks |
