aye , some might see it as overkill, but its the brakes.
rather hurt my wallet with new brake components than risk what is clearly a system at the end of its life after 10 years.

considering the Mway trip i had Just finished a hour before i went to the shop, i count myself Dang lucky it went on the carpark ,,not the m5/m42

You always had the gears and handbrake to slow down, should have been enough for sensible driving. I would count yourself lucky it didnt happen when some idiot pulled out in front of you.

m42 , sunday , around solihull...
theres more "idiots" than cats eyes..

as it was on the run in from the motorway there was a S70 T5 with its side stove in , front wheel (drivers) mangled under the car, looked like a 1/4 front impact to the headlight/wheel, with enough force to turn the car, rip the wheel off, stove the drivers + rear door in (air curtain deployed) ,, other car was 300yards down the road Well mangled with huge skid marks all over (no junctions nowt,, just a straight road and he wiped a T5 out,, ). Clear skys ,good lighting , no sun glare on that road @ that time ...no reason to wipe out the T5.
