Hello,
Looks great and that's the quickest engine without going the whole way to the T5. You have what I believe is the Arena leather with matching door card inserts. But your contrasting colour is Oak, not Beige. Finding door card replacements is going to be tricky. Re the leak, I have never had water in my boot, but if the lid is covered in water and opened water does have a habit of falling in. With the boot up check behind the rear seal, it may be filthy, give it a good clean. It's had fairly recent headlights so that's a £200 plus saving. And if they are Volvo ones, probably around £300. Cheers |

Cheers Ovlov.
Yes the headlights where replaced last year at the Volvo dealers in Brixham. In fact I have 6 years worth of bills, all from the Brixham garage, and the prices are pretty good actually, so I might use them to. I am going to replace the front indicators to with new, it will look nice then. As for the door cards, I always pick the most difficult in every thing! I'm slightly colour blind... hence the Beige thing. When all the little jobs are done and dusted, and if I can't find matching door cards, I may go all out and swap the interior IF I find a decent replacement. You are right about the boot lid, also the drainage channels by the windscreen, both were chocker with Pine needles! |

HelloSearch the forum for "Rufe" at FRF in Swansea. You can get Volvo disks, pads and anything else from him with a forum user's discount. When it came to replacing disks and pads for my V70, the general consensus on the forum was to go for Volvo "genuine" parts.

Re the interior, not at-all, the reason I know is because I cocked up! Bought a beige upper dash, it was then that I realised I had oak, hence me able to pass on the info. The VIN plate has a code on stating the interior colour, apparently. It will look swell with new indicators Re the drainage, it sounds like you may have many pine needles beneath your scuttle panel and if you have a pollen filter and no record of change this too could be suffering and making your blower motor have to work harder. It's easy to check if you have one (it needs the filter mount) and easier to explain by viewing forum member luxo's superb thread with photo write ups. This link will take you straight to the page and scroll to post 262! http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showth...114983&page=27 The thread will let you see loads of other tasks luxo has tackled and is really first class. Looks like my neighbours S70, but theirs is a diesel. Nice n straight, sounds like you've found a good un. There are always niggles, but be patient and just work through them, once sorted they're terrific cars.
NB I'd check all the vacuum lines and look at doing a PCV service if it hasn't been done yet. A PITA to do but worth it IMHO.
