dont forget , if you consider the whole system , the compressor is feeding the engine at set flow/pressure . change the flow , pressure must change as well , otherwise its not a constant

I'll have to sit and think about that for a while, lol.
If it is the head/cam combination thats causing the the boost to be less what can you do to sort it out ?
Bigger less restrictive exhaust, less restrictive induction or does the Turbo itself need to be changed. Or is it just a case of winding the wastegate up a bit ?

What sort of boost control are you using ?

Generally whilst airflow may increase, boost control setup should maintain the same boost pressure. But if it's some sort of manual bleed, it may just need re-adjusted.

And as for performance. Until fuelling and ignition have been optimised for the new setup, you may not see the gains you want to see.

Out of interest. Where are you buying the OE type cams from ? Local motor factors ? I assume the likes of AE do replacement cams ?
Cant imagine Volvo being very cheap. I take it, from looking at various cam charts, the "K" cam is the pick of the bunch ? Or a VX3, wherever it might be sourced ?
The "T" in mine does look very tame.

I looked at some other links for some places selling cams, and the prices seemed horrendous ( circa £300+ )

And are the heads solid lifters, or hydraulic ? ie, will most cam swaps be a hassle having to re-shim or adjust ?
