Hi,got this thread mixed up with another (toplights941) i should read from the begining,the antena ring if faulty allows cranking but cuts the fuel/spark,can fire for a split second then die.

Maybe it works on a time basis, ie if there is no continual communication for X time the fuel and spark are cut. This may explain why with a ring issue sometimes the cars start albeit momentarily....?? Jod

Good afternoon to you all,Dont know if my explinations where a bit vague,at the present time I think my problem is spark (electrics) related.I have proved i have fuel at the fuel rail and its under pressure,so i assume thats ok.
I have replaced Coil (2nd hand). Cleaned all electrical plugs i can find including the one on top of the gearbox. Cleaned all the earthing points i could find. Taken out the two ECU units in the engine bay checked them for signs of water or corrosion,all ok. I have no issues with lights, indicators,horns,the alarm system works as it should. Its as if the car thinks everythings ok as there are no fault codes being logged. Its as if it thinks i'm trying to nick it,the more i think of it the more it points to an Imobiliser problem. I have a cps on the way will try that,then go for the imobiliser ring,if that doesent work she could be off to the Volvo grave yuard in the sky.I hope not cause up to now its been the best car i have ever had.
