Thanks Ninja for posting this, finally a thread that talks about car design and not oil change! However we expect more input from members, I mean other than I like this and I don't like that.

Actually that last picture posted by irishcarfan makes the S60 look a lot better. I quite like it.

Hmm, just noticed the S80 also has the same front bumper as the V70.

I quite like the new look, despite looking like a Passat!

The heated steering wheel and paddles are very welcome in my book Although the heated steering wheel is not a new thing for Volvo having offered it in the past (in Sweden at least) on the 700-series.

Gather the S80 and V70 to be scrapped. New models in 2015 to be badged S90 and V90.

^^^^^^

Based on that 'Volvo You' concept? Looks a bit ugly.

The way I see it, Volvos used to look and indeed, were functional vehicles. Built with load carrying ability and safety in mind.
Then they morphed into functional-ish and not particularly attractive, safe vehicles at around the turn of the century.
Now they have turned into something that was evidently designed using car design software, the same software that all the other manufacturers use, it would appear! Looking not unlike everything else out there. Most cars "look" in this day and age, are highly dependent on their grille and Volvo have kept the Volvo-esque grille.
So in summary and of course in my opinion, these new Volvos look exactly as I would expect them to look, just like a European car.

I think all the model's shown are quite nice. The V70 is looking good and,the XC70 is looking really good.

I suppose though that it's all down too personal taste.
