Here’s an idea let Nissan buy Volvo who are in turn partly owned by Renault or let Ford keep them but also include Fiat in the deal (these guys are building KA’s and the new Fiat 500’ down the same production line in Poland) which may or not include Ferrari. GM / Saab, Chrysler / Mercedes the list is growing.

Get real guys it’s a global market now. There aren’t many solo players left on their own, BMW, Porsche and Honda to name a few, but how long before they are gobbled up

Engineer.

Surely the 6 speed is also found in the S40/V50? Is it the same box as the 6 speed S60s and V70s?

cheers

i would have thought the 6 speed from an S60 would fit pedro - the 2.5 engines are weaker because the of the bigger bore/open block design .

ive had a couple of westfield owners wanting to put the ST engine in - of course i told all about the engines origins - and that might free up a few gearboxes or too .

Default First comparative run.

Well, we have installed a first MTE map in the ST and added a full Ferrita stainless system, downpipe with cat and cat back plus big intercooler and the car pulls well for starters.

I took the car to a Focus ST Owners Club rolling road session last saturday principly just to show my face to a few potential customers, not wanting to run the car, unfinished, against some '300bhp' examples from a couple of apparently well respected Ford tuners.

Well, I arrived late to a few really long faces....not seeing what they wanted from their £3300/300bhp investments. So I thought, sod it, give it a run.

We had the best power of the day outright and best torque curve bar two which were not flat like ours but peaky. We had 267.9bhp/263lbs.ft torque.

So, with a lot more road worketc we should have a fine product for the ST market.

Regards, Don.

I'm really starting to warm to the Focus ST.

It's a big 'Gobby' for my taste still, but in dark grey or black rather than Racing Blue or Orange it's a very nice looking chunky car.

I'd still be wary of spending £20k + on one tho (Fully specced brand new) as the depreciation would be horrific.
