Why would you remake a brake pedal plate for the switch? There is a standard Volvo one that bolts on the brake pedal bracket and another one that is bolted on the brake pedal. Same thing for the clutch pedal

Are you talking about the bracket pictured on the left? If yes, then you have the Phase 1 bracket. The phase 2 looks like the one on the right. The reason for that is because the rear brake light switch on the Phase 1 was rounded and it was chacged to a square one in the Phase 2 cars.

Thumbs up

Like everyone else has said, the plug WILL be there, especially if the other plugs are visible.
I took ages to find mine, as it is hidden within the wiring loom under the fuse box in the engine bay. It is also wrapped in PVC tape, so pretty hard to find.

I would definitely be having another look, before embarking on making up your own loom.
You need the plug to connect into the pump and all the hassle with splicing it into the original loom.

Get a bright torch and have a GOOD look, it will be there!

Peel back some of the PVC tape under the fuse box too, just to be sure.

Gary

Don't do it!!! Use the screw type "choccy blocks" not the snap locking scotch ones, much more reliable connection. Or better still, splice solder & heatshrink the wires in.
