Oh Man....

I've not even finished updating 1333 yet.

Do I have to wait for 1333 to finish before updating to 1336?

You've got a whole-of-Europe USB update on the go, haven't you?

I couldn't say with 100% certainty that it will definitely be okay if you just pull the USB stick out.

I'm going to take a punt and say I think you'll be fine, although you might find you have no navigation available until it's finished loading 1336. I updated (or rather, I thought I'd updated) the voice control some months ago but it turns out that the update didn't stick and I had no voice control or voice instructions, but everything else still worked and when I tried again it went in okay.

Then again, if you've not been in the car long enough for it to finish loading 1333, are you likely to be needing the satnav between now and when it finishes? ;-)

Just North-West Europe. I've only done a few short journeys since starting the install, so it's probably just that.

I'll just wait for the current install to complete before doing the next one I think. I don't really want to balls something up.

Ah okay, yeah, I'd leave it to finish that one then.

I was debating whether to see what happens on my car, as it's booked to go in next week anyway, but I won't try now

I downloaded the new Voice Control shown on the update page, it's sat on my desktop now waiting to be put on a USB, but I read a post recently that someone tried to do the update and the car rejected it saying that a newer version was already installed, did you find this was the case? Version 32141802AA, although I can't find out the version thats currently installed as nothing shows up in Sensus.

I've not done any updates for 12 months. I currently only drive to Morrisons, and I know where that is. I'll update the latest version once lockdown is over.

That's the version that's installed in my car, and it certainly didn't give me any errors about a newer version. The version that I tried (and which quietly failed) a few months earlier may have been an older version than that.

Thanks for that. I'll put version 32141802AA onto a USB and see what happens.
I seem to be doing a lot of uploading at the moment, only just updated to
Map v.1333 and now I see v.1336 is available.

I installed 1333 from USB yesterday. Took over an hour but installed fine and everything seems to work as before.

I installed 1333 via USB (too large for OTA) a few weeks ago and assumed that would be it for a while.

No chance, did a short journey today and the car started an OTA map download to 100% but had only achieved 30% installation by the time I got back home, I assume this is 1336, shame they didn't do it all in one go!
