I think we are gonna have to put you to the back ped!!

if you remember the recent "looks like the secret got out" post, i was saying how you can run an mbc better than others can, and it was down to your choice of car, well no one seemed to get at what i was hinting at!!

I was trying to hint that your car is actually partially chipped for a better word!!! - and yes thats from the factory!!

so i think you'll have to go to the back!!! - lol

i do remember but i assumed it was down to another little trick i'd stumbled across by accident. It was more luck than judgement when it came to choosing BT tbh, i hadn't even sat in her till i took delivery & knew nothing about T-5's then

Matt, I know there is more than one 'map' per ECU but I simply refer to the 'engine map' as it makes life easier.

I wasn't told how many 'maps' get changed in those words. The words used were actually 'parameters changed' if you really must know, and there were quite a few of those.

I am interested to see your results from your tinkering. Also don't get me wrong matey, I only want to know what you have to share for my own benefit. No one elses.
Later,
Dan.

I'm very interested to hear about any developments in reverse engineering the stock ECUs, as this makes for an extremely neat and cost effectively engine management solution. The Saab crowd have been doing this for years.

Regarding the subject of this thread...
Please talk in a straightforward manner as much as you can. The more open and honest discussion we have about EMS, the better. It's not a complex subject, and I'll fully support any attempts to 'de-fog' it. This is not the place for one-upmanship, smugness, or whatever - it's for us to learn from one another. I don't bring information to the table to score points - I do it because I hope it helps people, and that they'll return the favour one day.

We've just settled one dispute - let's not start on another. Coming to the National, Matt? I'll buy you a pint if you are, and you can tell me all about these chips

cheers

James
