Yes, I’m hoping to get it out of the barn tomorrow to get photos of the ‘grotty’ bits, so I’ll try to remember to get a rear bumper and brackets photo also. Cheers Steve |

VP Autoparts does sell a reproduction up to 1972 bumper in stainless steel complete with moulding for a rather stiff price https://vp-autoparts.com/en/artiklar...trim-rear.html For 1973 there was a one-off bumper. The North American market cars received the big bumper / basher things. Parts of the rest of the world (Oz and the Asian countries for sure) got a bumper that was bigger than the early bumper; but, not as big as the US market bumper. I seem to recall that this bumper had a groove in the rubber molding. Perhaps you got this one-off bumper and moulding? https://vp-autoparts.com/en/artiklar...973/index.html Last edited by 142 Guy; Oct 28th, 2023 at 16:24. |

Simple days job to replace timber barge boards on the house today with UPVC has turned into a bit of an unexpected marathon, got up there and damned sparrows have been up there having a party, and created 4 fist sized holes in the roofing membrane. One of the joys of a period property where the tiles don’t exactly fit 100% Will get them as soon as I can, hopefully 142 Guys input helped. Cheers Steve |

Old houses, old cars and new girlfriends are all the same - they all need constant attention.
Ours is 1677 and when I built the new wing 20 years ago and refurbed the existing, I thought that would be good for a long time. How wrong was I, there is always something that needs doing.

I got the bumper out as it was easy to get to, the new rubber is tucked away so didn't try and get it. The issue is the NOS bumper has just a single row of holes for mounting the rubber but the rubbers have a double row. I need to have a look at my old bumper but I don't think I will bother changing it at this stage.
