Red face MAF or MAP or Vacuum

I have a known good MAF coming today so I will try this. scouring the web it looks like it can only be MAF, MAP or a Vacuum line. I have checked the Vac lines so I am hoping the MAF is at fault or it will be a MAP sensor next. My MAF p/n' is as I stated, but it doesn't match any of the Bosch ones and it is hot etched into the plastic with bosch logo. Very odd, will let everyone know how if goes as it seems this is the time of year for rough running and the MAF playing up.

I have cleaned all the connectors to the MAF and MAP too so only the physical parts left them selves to be at fault I guess.

Tks

On an 850 you either have a MAF or MAP sensor depending on the engine type not both.

Smile hallelujah !!!!!

thanks for that Chris, anyway it is good news, I did find a sensor solenoid unde r the air intake which I took to be the MAP, whatever it was, I cleaned the contacts but no different, just fitted a MAF off ebay for £24 and it is running like a dream, cleared the codes and just been for a 5 mile drive and no problems, it accelerates and doesn't stall on throttle off, I can't say how pleased I am again.

re-fitted old MAF to check and it ran like a dog with no tick-over or power at all !

many thanks to everyone on this thread who has contributed !
